Yes, its a n00b question.
Every now and then I read or hear that you should vary the throttle and speed of a 2 stroke to stop it exploding in your face (or under your butt as it happens).
How does this apply to scooters that are usually held balls to wall wide open? Is the stop/start of normal commuting enough, or should I vary it a bit along the long straights of Gt/New North rd?

But seriously, a spare piston under the seat with enough tools to fit it, timing gun and a set of jets and you'll be laughing...
Opps, don't forget a dremel to polish the ports and some wet & dry emery paper...
