While we're on the topic of 250cc Bandits, a mate of mine has a 1996 model. We went out for a ride to Akaroa and the clutch broke. We opened up the clutch case or whatever it's called, only to find a tiny piece of metal thinner than a paperclip connects the clutch cable to the spring inside, which had snapped. The bike has only done just over 14,000km, and the fact that Suzuki could make a bike with such an obvious flaw is completely unacceptable. Has anyone else had that problem?
