Wait until the smuck sets the aircraft landing weight wrong... It can pull the gear out from the deck and the aircraft rolls of the front and then goes "splash".

I wonder if the deck crewman is related to Dubya? Mad skillz in dodgeball!!

    Speaking of aircraft carriers...
I see that Japan is building its first since WW2. Specifically not allowed under their own laws though.

Have you guys seen the "Save the Cow" campaigns in Japan? Apparently they've discovered that cows are mammals and therefore we shouldn't eat them :slap:

I like whale meat - you need to try it before you knock it!

I had a 100m 65mm hawser fail at the ships end under full bollard pull, 35T. The entire 100m travelled in a straight line to the deck of the tug without touching the water. The energy that is stored up in a stretched cable is phenominal.

Std practice is clear the decks prior to any effort being applied...for obvious reasons.

Save the cow, LOL.. Yes I hear whale meat is like the BEST steak you have ever eaten. Not knocking it.. Just taking the piss slightly.

Woohoo! Duck! Yeah my dad was a sawmiller, and there was always plenty of dire warnings, and sometimes a stern word issued. Actually, I am surprised they were so safety concious (this was 30 years ago) and I don't recall one accident at the mill he managed.
