Ahhh ... excellent road trip!! Excellent write up
Have you come back down to earth yet?
The countryside we have is to die for, and I reckon its much more appreciated on a bike than in a car.
You have made me wanting to plan a road trip now lol
    on ya!

Listen you, we do it hard in that caravan. We often can't hear the TV over the sound of the espresso machine...

    Most enjoyable write-up

I can relate to your trip [minus the battery and camper on the wrong side of the road problems] Amazon & I did the South Island in mid Feb.....up the east coast & down the west. Hell, what a blast we had....and we doged all the crap weather, allowing us to stick to plan. Like I keep saying..."I always pack a little bit of sunshine in my saddle bags"

We're already planning next years trip.....in the North Island....and hopefull a rally or two while up there.

Great write-up Ken, you guys nade the trip that CB and I do each year from just before the Woodstock rally through the next week and down to the Vincent rally.

We too went to Mt Cook this year - a great ride.

Glad you got back more-or-less without grief.

In hindsight could you and Mutley have swapped batteries to keep you going??

Jill, isn't it? Guess where we stayed? Very biker-friendly people too, offering us more secure parking around the back out of sight.

We delayed leaving for half an hour while we gave them advice on their problem Fire Alarm System.

Yes Jill & Bill, I should have clicked when you said NEW motel - they had to be bike friendly with a few bikenuts in the family. They use to offer garage space at other place they had but they don't have the space at fox.
They'd appreciate the advice. I haven't even been to see them since they moved to Fox yet, a ride I need to do. I'm glad you liked it I'll let them know.

    Smile Well done

Cool write up (and trip obviously) - Cheers for that Virago - cracked up at your massage description! lol

Here's a tip for when you leave your mobile charger behind: (From when I ran a motel) - ask reception if they have one, as guests are constantly leaving them behind, - I have done so many times (ie asked) and find they pull out a shoebox of chargers of all descriptions!

good to hear you had a good trip...one thing tho, what the F@#K is 'pootling'?
That has to be the weakest, whimpiest, limp and pathetic adjective I have ever encountered.
Please replace with 'cruising' or 'loafing'. anything but 'pootling' PLEASE!
