zzr250 nice and welcome aboard, but don't forget the gpx 250 same motor i believe. and the re-released the gpx250 again not too many years ago. dam how old am i?
nice bikes just watch out for the re-line. re setting tappets was a common thing on my old machine. but regular services i got 70 thousand kms out of her, when i was finished she had about 85 thousand on the clock. and was still ticking over nicely. no blue smoke or anything.
nice riding ride safely and see ya around

Welcome matey, if you have a choice go for a CBR, less to go wrong

    Hi and welcome :spudwave:

Do you have your learners? Are you wanting to stay with a 250, or maybe go up to a 400? I am selling my bike soon. . . . .

    Welcome to the site.

Have a good shop around and you might be able to find a good second hand - make sure you get it from a bike shop tho' so you can go back to them if there's anything fundamentally wrong with it (like a ninety-degree kink in the frame or summat)

    Happy and safe riding
