Thanks Frosty,
I have been to other trackdays and a Suzuki trackday, but Frosty's was the Best.
Being able to start out slow, warm up the tyres bring the bike in, adjust the suspension and get straight back on to the track was awesome.
I have never done so many laps!!!
I stopped riding when I was too tired to pull in the clutch and my legs wouldn't shift my fat arse over the seat.

Looking forward to the next one
I might need to get another 20L gas can so I can do more laps

Hardest part for me was driving home afterwards lol Had to have me a power nap at the army museum on the way haha tired old prick i know !
Long weekend though, Have come to the conclusion that taupo certainly tests ya tyres limits during winter !
Started out slow trying to change my body position that i'd cemented over the last few months, after taping some pads to the side of my tank, which gave my short arse legs something to lock onto !
Alas the old habits came back as soon as the ozzie 450 went past lol (no time to be thinking body position) That was fun, bloody thing gets along well for an F3 bike haha. Managed to get ahead of him once when i made the right choice of lines on the back sweeper and blocked him in behind frosty, (he coulda stepped out and stayed ahead as i left him just enough room, but the fact that it wasn't a race had him thinkin descretion/valour) managed to hold him out for a lap or two, but as usual fatigue got the better of me and i started making mistakes, overcooking corners and running wide etc, so pulled left on pit str8 and let him take the lead again !
But was sure as hell keen to get out with Ozzie every time he went out after that and chase him round the track !
Was great to have unlimited time out there (even if the body was wrecked, it being near the third consecutive day at the track) gobbled up a couple of tanks of gas during the day, changed tyres half way through (was hoping to get the whole day out of the racetecs but after 2 & 1/2 days of left handers they were starting to step out on me a bit ! The conti's i had with me weren't a lot better with the beast sliding here and there, so kept it seemly with no limits being tested ! (oh to have a tyre sponsor, to alow me to push the bloody boundaries, 2nd hand tyres just don't cut it no more !)
Was great to meet a few new faces and shoot the shit !

Learnt a few things on the day !
a/ I need new boots !
b/ Taupo in the winter demands new tyres !
c/ I need to short shift into T8 and keep it pinned
d/ The padding i added to the tank works (just need more practise to get my shoulder down)
e/ Turn 14 gives me the shits !

Thanks Frosty for sharing your extensive electrical knowledge with me and getting me back on to the track.
My body hasn't hurt that much since I did a half ironman 2 years ago.
I had trouble getting off the bike at the end of the day, bloody legs wouldn't straighten out.
It was a good practice for the endurance race at Puke on Anzac weekend.

I'll be at your Oct meeting to blow out the cobwebs and try and get back up to speed for the new season.

It was a top day organised by a top bloke.
