What a fab day and thanks to all that helped and participated.

Great to see such a turnout and despite the queues everybody was in a damn fine mood when they came for scrutineering and seemed to be as excited about the days riding ahead as I was. All went pretty smoothly considering numbers I thought.

Nice to be able to work alongside new friends and old and to try manfield for the first time, especially after Keri tweaked the Dayona for me

I found the track easier than Taupo but maybe that was more confidence and being on the back for two of the sessions

HUGE thanks to Kenny, now I know what I have to aim for and seeing how he passed people was also instructional, despite that 'breathe in' moment
Feel a bit like I am holding the beast back and apparently it has more in the can for when I can handle what is has already

Will just have to do more trackdays and work on those corners and braking harder and later I guess.

Thanks for a memorable day all :

    Go your own way...........................Fleetwood Mac

Anyone know of any of the photographers that were out there? I want to buy some pics for my Dads photo wall in the hospital of me, the bike and Maria at the trackday.

Pass on details if anyone got any or knows who might have please.

Yes it was a good day had by all......We slept in & got there later than we wanted but oh well shit happens.....Balzy still got on the track so were happy campers......

I must agree with Dukegirl tho.....We have marshalled for the Vic club and CD in the past, I think if numbers had been left to 120 then there wouldn't have been a delay, Vic club never have a problem getting us on the track at 9am, Please don't think i'm having a go at CD as it was a good day other than that so big ups to CD and the supporters

86 you were on fire!!!!! Seams your mishap didn't slow you down at all, Was funny watching you and cowboyz playing BUT then having said that, going fast or slow you would look good you are on a trumpy after all, LOL

Dukegirl you fit your bike like a glove and were impressive to watch, Gotta love a girl who gets out there and gives it a go, Keep going girl!!!!

Rustys...both jas and i are impressed with your riding style....think balzy is gunna hit you up for some tips, LOL

Was a great day to catch up with old mates.....New mates....Some of my wicked fellow "bitches" and Str8 was cool as to put a face to your name.

Hope the dude who got carted off in ambo makes a speedy recovery.

Lots of bike porn for me, Got sore neck from whipping my head round so much afraid i was gunna miss something, LOL

All in all a great day had by all, Keep up the good work guys & girls, See you all at the next one

When we first started running the track days, Manfeild had a 10am start time set in stone as the earliest anyone could be out on the track. That is now 9am, so it is something we can look at for future track days. It will mean a lot more work having to be done earlier, but the committee can consider this when going over how the day went yesterday.

We're happy to take on board any suggestions, so the committee will no doubt check these posts and see what changes/improvements can be made to make the next track day even better for all concerned. As mentioned in another thread, we may look at taking prebookings. We've shied away from this due to the extra work involved, but it may prevent any problems if we cap it at a certain number and take prebookings from a certain date before the track day.

No promises, but the committee will discuss these things and make a decision in the best interests of the club.

Thanks babe Cowboyz is always good value and bloody good to ride with. Sure, we're not the quickest guys around but we do have fun Still suffering a bit from the crash, but what's the point in having one if you don't get straight back into it eh I sure do agree about the Trumpy

This is a tough one given the big increase in riders lately. Maybe pre bookings are the answer, and/or running in shifts through lunch perhaps. Just don't stop running them!

I don't think there is much chance of us suddenly thinking "stuff this, we'd rather not bother" so you're pretty safe as long as it's economical for us to hire the track!

Thank GOD for that! Part of the reason for the large number yesterday is the reasonable cost

Well, we could double the price and that may stop so many riders turning up...

Or Five, no, make it ten, nooooo 12 ! $80 buck a head prepaid, or $100 pay on the day drop it to 110 120 riders max gives ya three groups and a fast turn around for the riders ! One person handles the prebookings via email and an account !
Your onto a winning formular cause ya have the structure in place and enough members with the knowledge now to run a great meeting !
With the increase in ppl who want to do track days as 86 said, there is an opening for something more regular down this neck of the woods !

Wouldn't wait too long to decide, if you were thinking about it though !
Numbers like you have had attend the last two trackdays will be speaking volumns to the existing companies who are quite mobile now !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I think the main thing is sinfull, the CDMC aint really in to profit making, more providing a cheap fun trackday, without the pressure of going fast, for everyone. After all its a club, not a company =).

Cheers for the day yesterday, was good abiet the late start . Still got 4 sessions in, with the last being much longer than the previous.

    Thanks CDMC

Thanks for an awesome day yesterday. Yes there were too many people. I would pay $80 to be able to pre-book and have more track time. For me its all about being on the track.
