Isn't it funny when you get a great bod, you start running through fire for them or should I say out onto the track it's plain crazy, she's hot there's no denying that but when she crashes twice in one session on a very NEW CBR you have to ask yourself. She needs to get to know the bike abit more cause it's gunna endly badly.

i know this isnt a thread about "Sandra the Slovarkian prinicess" and i dont want to turn it into one ... but ... credit where credits due, she was going pretty fuckin fast. but i will admit that that honda looked a little beaten up by the end of the day. to be honest i admire chics that race. they're on the back foot a bit from the beginning with people watching everything they do. id hate to have that much focus on me.
btw, im on really good pain killers at the moment that make me love everyone and see the world as a wonderful place so the above could all be bullshit

I heard a rumour that she was dropping 1.13's at the days end...! At that pace shes entitled to drop it a few times.

Before I get flamed to hell and back, thats just a rumour passed on. I didnt time her so I don't know first hand. Disclaimer over.

Up a 5am ... off on the nearly 3 hour drive to the track with the two kids ... Got there 10 minutes after sign-in started, and was suprized to see the gates being shut right behind me!
Cruise round the corner and see a mass of bikes and bod's. O Dear! This doesn't look good for getting in before the 120 bike cut off.

Parked up and made my way to the end of a huge line to take my chances.
No point in even taking the bike off the trailer was the thought.

But THANKYOU to the club for allowing all those in the line to get on track!

Thankyou to too you other bikers you had to share the track with an extra 50 odd bikes.

Was great that my kids got to see me ride my new bike for the first time on the track. Would have been very sad for them to come all the way from New Plymouth and not have got out on it.
.... and to hear them saying " You were really good Dad!" just made a good day even better!

    Cheers.
    Racey.

If you don't feel like coming/it's wet/you have a hangover/or whatever, tough luck, we keep your money. This is the way most things that require prepayment work otherwise we could end up seriously out of pocket if it's a cold wet day and only the race guys show up and everyone else who has prebooked wants their money back. We still have to pay for the track unless it's unusable, and I doubt we'd get our money back from Manfeild unless it was an amazing storm that made it too dangerous to use the track.

As for prebooking but not prepaying - definitely NOT an option. What if we said 120 places and had 120 bookings but no money - and only 20 of you bothered to turn up? Not only would we be out of pocket, but we'd also have turned away others who may have turned up if we'd not been fully booked.

Sorry, but you can't have it both ways. Either we go down the track of prebooking and prepaying for a track day or we leave it as is and if you want to be assured of a place, you have to get there bloody early!
I do agree with everyone, i was just offering another option .

Like you say, pre-booking would be a bad idea, as there is the possiblity of people not turning up. Pre-paying would be the best idea.

    Cheers

Well from what i hears shes bin crashing a shit load, that Honda was pretty ugly before she even got to the track day.
Sandra would definitly be doing 13's she was giving Phil Derby a run for his money and hes no slouch, the other thing to remeber is, that CBR is STOCK!
She will be one to watch in the future, she has definite talent natural ability and is on a quick learning curve.
I dont mind admitting im jealous of her Bhawawaaaaaaaa

Hey chick you bet cha it's always a great day for catching up with people. Any comments or suggestions on making it easier for volunteers and public on the day would be greatly appreciated. As I said I will be going to the Committee and chucking around some ideas with them so the next one will be just as good

Aparently thats her goal ! But unfortunately she wants to be at the pointy end in times, before she jumps in a grid !

Scary aye when it was only weeks ago we were keeping her reeled in !
Give it to them, they are investing the coin in doing each and every track day/training day there is !
Be interesting to watch when everything starts to gel for her and they trick up the CBR (or another one the way she's bashing that one up)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
