    "Logic and accountability"

"Baby died after St Johns "Dicked Around" says a family member.

Unforgivably (as is so often the case) the same family members fails to note that their own family is under investigation for the murder of the child, who died of massive head injury's.

But - hey lets blame St Johns huh."

"Regardless of how 'people look at themselves and family', there is an increasing tendency for the great unwashed masses to blame others rather than accept personal responsibility/accountability. Unfortunately, this is actually nurtured by the gummint and type of society we have."

"Sounds like motorcyclists that ride like cocks in heavy traffic then blame cage drivers for their misfortunes"

    "Logic and accountability"

"View Post" makes a mockery of the ignore function, doesn't it?

    Katman, Dipshit.

Normally I (kinda) agree with you - however in this case I think you guys are on a soapbox that has no place in this thread / conversation is pathetic.

You achieve nothing doing what you have here other to lower peoples opinion of you and to lessen the impact of your message - because (simply put) you come across as simple, sad little men.

Your message has more impact when used when appropriate.

I find it amusing that people berate those at the coal face when they know sweet FA about what it's really like to be working with a family where violence and abuse are the norm.

Oh yes we're all horrified and saddened (rightly so) but want someone else to sort it. Those "do-gooders and tree hugging social worker types" you are quick to criticise are working really hard and it's attitudes like yours that don't help.

I agree we do reap what we sow, and for me that means a society that won't take responsibility for what is happening to the most vulnerable members is now reaping the consequences of that. Then that same society throws up their hands in dismay and blames those trying (and at times struggling) to support change with inadequate resources and an "it's not my problem" attitude from some of society.

Sorry No.1 and Mom I know this is off the topic of why you started this thread.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

No honey you are actually responding to explain/outline an underlying issue related to this threads topic and you aren't using it as an opportunity to rant and rave about your thoughts on what is wrong with the motorcycling community (which isn't what this thread was about)...so you ARE on topic. I can understand and appreciate your frustration

BTW - we didn't start the thread...

NO you are sort of bang on topic mate! I fostered kids for many years, seen some fairly disgusting things perpetrated by caring families, and I understand the dynamics of family violence quite well.

The issue the OP raises is interesting in that a family spokesman said it was the delay in an ambulance getting to the little girl that was the problem, now that was part of the problem (St John admitted unacceptable delays on Radio Live yesterday) certainly, but does not for one second take away from the bottom line, a child killed in the care of her family.

I take my hat off to you really, your job is not easy, hope you get really good support from your employer.

Good analogy....all visual and no substance.
Like the mockery by some of those who are trying to turn things around for kids caught up in the abuse cycle, even if it's 'only' talking about it.
Family violence is as old as human existence, it flourishes when ignored (pretend it doesn't happen) and if talking about it, and exposing it when/where-ever, helps to change people's attitudes to it, then bring on the talk.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

It ain't just the physical abuse one must be concerned about, but mental abuse also (which imo does more damage)
    It is what it is
