No sir, no redundancy for me.

Well after months of waiting we had our day of reckoning today, they wanted 80 redundancies,42 went of there own accord, seems the government has stepped up so we will work 9 hour days and get paid for 10 hour days, bit more complicated than that but thats the bottom line, that will last for 6 months and then things will be reviewed,if the goverment pull out then there may be more go but for now thats it,no more job losses in the next 6 months anyway, not a bad outcome really, have learnt to get by ok on 10 hour days but look forward to getting back to 12 sooner rather than later.Shifts remain the same 4 on 4 off,if anybody is moved it will only be from one dayshift to the other which would be a pain but better than unemployment. So onwards and upwards.
