Ideally, I'd like to be working in a company that does books for small/medium sized, or new-start enterprises. I appreciate that there will be some differences in tax etc but the basics remain the same. (I have an HNC in Accounts & HND in Secretarial Studies, and a degree in Psychology)...
Other half has an degree that he also got thru the Open University, and his 'thing' is environmental monitoring. He currently works for one of the local councils here, and would like to do the same in NZ. He monitors gas and leachate emissions from land-fills, is fit and healthy and loves working out-doors..
That said, we'd both be willing to do virtually anything to get a start when we arrive in CHCH.
We're constantly applying the CHCH City Council, and Environment Canterbury but I cant see us getting any offers whilst still in the UK as we arent on any of the skills shortage lists, tho we gained our PR as skilled migrants, but if anyone has any contacts that might help us, please pm me.
Cheers folks!

Hi there,
Bikern1mpho here (using Riffer's page). I have moved from the UK to NZ at the end of Jan. I am now working and living in Christchurch. I work for the Department of Corrections as a Programme Facilitator. I will be able to give you more advice once I have access to my internet email at work. PM either me or riffer can give you the email to contact me. Have you considered working within the field of psychology over here? What is your degree in, did you specialise at all. Feel free to drop me a line and I will give you as much help as I can. I can also give you some useful Corrections contacts if that would interest you.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
