I'll also be heading down to Paeroa, but with the Botany Honda ride early as. Sorry Diggyduo I think you got my "I'll be tagging along" confused with this ride.

Can't beat a hot sunny day at battle of the streets.
Everyone has an opinion.. mine can be found here Riding Articles

I am pretty much a noob myself. But it's all relative to whome you compare with I just meant that we weren't slow so a slow rider would only hold us up.

I understand, but have you read the first thread for this ride?

"You should be capable of riding at open road speeds and hopefully be able to ride at your own pace (this means not trying to keep up with the rider in front if it is to fast for you)
Don't worry we will wait for you"

I guess you and your mates will be off buy yourself and i wish you a safe and well ride.
I know the rest of the guys here have been riding a lot longer and know you better than i do but we all have to start somewhere and this is the first time i have seen this attitude on this thread.

You seem to have enough mates to ride with so i would never expect to see you on this ride as you might have to wait for someone.

If you take this post the wrong way then i am sorry it is not meant as a go at you just a plain observation and i might not be getting you from your post.

Haha yea mate, you misunderstood. I am not trying to sound smug. This ride is not organised by me. I was simply using this thread to advertise a ride me and 2 other buddies were going on that day and wanted some more people who could ride comfortably at a legal pace. We pretty much hold the max speed limit throughout our ride. When I ride socially however I am more than happy to wait for any stragglers. Sometimes I am the straggler. Depending on how fast you choose to ride, I have my limitations and know my boundaries You are right, some others on this ride know me better and know that I do wait when needed. I'm sure you will find my online persona a pleasant contrast to my real life personality

PS: now go bait someone who doesn't have over 2,000 posts

I was not baiting you and if you think i was then there is nothing i can do about that as it was an observation.

If you only hold the speed limit in your ride then you would be holding everyone up even me so it think you should go to the newbee threads. (now thats baiting)

Still same time same place ?
I've been way slack in getting along to any group rides recently - blame saturday night drinking.
If I stay off the beers I should get along.

Im sure you can keep up but would prefer you ride your own pace and if you fall behind we will wait for you at the next intersection
we have a mix of riders at different paces (I fall back from some of them) on different days. Im sure youll be fine
