    Scracha's lousy PMCC round3

Umm...full of confidence after Tuesday's shennanegans I decided to whip some ass at the PMCC round 3 in Taupo.

Post Classic Qualifying:- Spent 2 laps reminding myself of all these bastard slippery patches. Third lap...fast bits but kinda all over the place. Fourth lap ...kinda less all over the place but still a bit loose...ah well..it'll come together in the race. Fuck me...Qualified 2nd with a 1.49.

F3 Qualifying:- Went out following Neil Chappell to try and gain some speed... Passed him but he then "accidently" put me on the grass. I kept it rubber side down. Next lap, banged it up to 5th and tipped it into T9 as I'd done for umm...at least 40 laps on Tuesday. Fuck me...front end went, caught it, then it went bye bye at a sniff under 195. I managed to alternate hips/arse to prevent overheating leathers. Hole in tank, petrol pissing out everywhere. RH clipon broken, both footrests loose, etc etc. Felt a right dumbarse as no need whatsoever to push it in my "fun" f3 class.

Anthony, Ben(K), Tony (OK) et al helped reassemble the CBR. Mostly by raping bits from Anthony's dead VFR.

2nd Post Classic Race:- Ho ho...started from 2nd...that's a first for me. Neil was gone. Outbraked the 2-smoke (NSR250) that had passed me. Had a dice for a lap or so. Man that NSR has some berries but looked a bit of an on-off switch when getting on the gas. Anyhoo, we were having fun but after the bike's arse stepped out a couple of times I decided to calm down and bring her home. Genesis 1000 passed me...decided not to chase too hard as not in my class anyhoo. Someone else passed...you get the picture. Started getting confidence back and beginning to reel in whoever the hell has just passed me. Cruising (and I mean really tentative with the gas just to bring er home) in 4th or 5th place or summit. Let Ben pass me a couple of times knowing I could always nip past him on the final lap.

Tipping into T5 at a fair old pace was surprised to see Ben taking a very tight and faster line up my inside. Fuck me (well..actually, wasn't that surprised)he lowsided but as I was already knee down I had nowhere to go and he skittled me. Fuggin very nasty tumblewumbly bang your head on the ground 2 or 3 times crash. I lay face down cursing my bad luck for a good few seconds before wiggling all my limbs (again) to check I was in one piece and waving at the marshall.

Bike pretty mangled. Johan took it down to Paul's and I'm sure he'll be postic piccies of it but it'll include 2 broken clipons, footpegs, master cylander, bent subframe and a destroyed fairing. Helmet, leathers, boots fucked...bugger.

That's been 3 $hitty meetings on the trot so hopefully my wee run is over.

    Lessons learn't
    1) Did you know that if you run wide into T9 to avoid all the $ht they've lain on the inside there's a really nasty bump? Of course, I only took notice of this after I'd crashed.
    2) Unless you are very talented, don't outride your shite old 400 if you're too tight to buy ohlins and slicks.
    3) Change your front tyre more than once a year.....yes... even if it does have loads of tread left on it and you're a tight scotsman

See ya'll at the VMCC where I will almost certainly have my head down and be riding like a girl.

Cowpoos...you're on my ignore list for a fortnight so don't waste your time .

Oh yeah, thanks to Wharfy for bringing up my tyrewarmers and transponder from Drew's place. Thanks to Shane in Morrinsville for letting me borrow his awesome bike trailer. Looks like I'll be flying down to pick up the car, trailer and two motorcycles now. Hopefully the wings won't fall off the plane......

Fark me, you must've pissed someone off somewhere. You've had a bit of a run of bad luck lately. Shame, cos you were flying and having a good time on Tuesday.

Dude ! Ya had a smile on ya dial at the end of the day when i chatted to ya (Ok Ok i said huh, what, pardon and a few others) but ya came, ya raced, ya rebuilt and raced again !
On ya ! Your actually great to watch on that beast, wish i could drape over me bike like you do lol !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

    Mutter Mutter Mutter.

Got the phone call during the arvo from Steevie,
    "umm i kinda had a wee crash , "
ohh , are you ok ?
    "yer , a bit sore."
Shit , hows the bike ?
"umm well we fixed it up after the first crash .....
    the FIRST ???
"umm yer , i pushed a bit hard in the first one but i know that but the second one i got taken out "
ok , cool well as long as you are ok aye.
"ummm yer well the bikes got a few wee bits of damage , like the bars the tank , the fairing and the pegs , the levers and the .......
    Is anything ok ??
"i need a guy with half a brain to look at it for me , can Johan bring it back to your place for you to give it a look over ??"
    Sweet , bring it here

Quite a call really and that was all said in about 5 mins lol. (fucking accents)

Well i have looked over it and all i can say is this .

    ITS FUCKED .
the frame is damaged and other bits and bobs , but the forks are ok and there is enough spares here to get it almost ready for VMCC.why me ?
Bikes are just pieces of machinery and they can be fixed or put aside as needed. The human body (like Steevies) is not easy to fix so im glad hes ok even if a bit sore.
Thanks to all that helped him out and rest assured i will be on hand to do that crap during VMCC if needed so alls well i guess.
The best news is .... his CBR600 is now formally ready to race and it goes like the clappers so all you P/C junior bikes be ready for a thrashing lol.

You were flying on that thing! Hope you're not too sore today mate.

Paul took it pretty well when he first saw the bike, from what I could tell, but I tried to leave as quickly possible, so he could have a moment alone with the bike.

    cheers guys!
