Hahaha @ the "Low emission vehicles priority parks".
Bikes make a lot more pollution than cars.

A couple of bollards to keep cages from driving through, but most suitable for a bike to get through. Ride across and park in a space as per their requirements.

I can see me now riding through that gap and having the traffic boys waiting to ping me when I leave out that same gap with my boy on the back

Yeah might not be a bad idea to ride through that gap on the way out (I'm assuming this is the section with the pedestrian crossing?), but I think I'll avoid attention on the way in

Filtering is a personal preference thing, mainly to do with balancing hurry, safety, confidence in what others are going to do and one's ability to avoid it. Or just "what are the odds". Safe is good, as one's family would appreciate.

Have just found that I may get to spend a pleasant couple of hours catching up with friends in the international terminal in a while. Are there "suitable" bike parks at International? Bugger that idea of paying...

Already dropping off the inlaws that day, not really willing to drag the family back there again, esp over dinnertime - sprogs get cranky if dinner not provided when required.

Totally agree - the way I see it, I'd rather be home 30 minutes late than not being able to go home at all.

I reckon I'm just going to go around the barrier or maybe try that place that Swoop mentioned...

It is merely looking for a small access that a bike can get through. Nothing more.
The carpark staff will want to keep things as simple as possible, (as is most common with human nature). If you take a ticket from the machine, and raise the barrier arm on the way in, this creates more work for them. Either causing them to have to cancel a ticket because of their "bikes park for free" policy or by having to review security camera footage if you choose to disappear via a different "exit".

As for the "low-emission vehicle parking" bollox, I smell the putrid festering stench of inbred green-party retards.

At the international terminal you can go to the manned booth at the exit and enquire there. I have not specifically seen any dedicated bike parks like there should be. They have just recently opened the new parking area so ther could be some place in there for bikes?

In the new covered building at the Domestic terminal (the 3 story one) you can go around the barriers no problem, level 3 has the best parking and view.

I used to go around the barriers constantly.

    It was never a problem.

    I recommend these guys:

    http://www.aeroparks.co.nz/

$6 per day plus free shuttle.
I figure car drivers must be Apes. All they do is sit in cages all day & grunt

Aeroparks are good. We have used ANZ parking 3 times little bit more expensive. Both are very good you drop vech of at there yard and they take you to the airport and pick you up on your return.
    anz number is 2753063
Just check on those firms when they say daily charge I know ANZ is 24hrs as a daily charge.
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

If by chance its a 4wd you can get out of the main carpark over the big curb without having to pay. Or if its a little tiny car theres a gap in the concrete wall big enough to fit through.
