Thumbs up Just got me an awesome new pair of pants!

    Riding pants that is.

My last pair were Armour Tech and they were most definitely on their last legs. They did very well though having survived 2 offs (a couple of little spills) and riding round the South Island twice and the fact that I've had them for 5 and a bit years makes them a very good brand.

Anyhoo, this newest pair are Mobig Munich and they're great! They have a zip out lining, zips and velcro everywhere. These are fabulous, they're standard black colour and I did like that my previous pants were red but I was able to wear them home tonight and they were comfy as!

I got them via a dude on Trade Me (phil225) and actually just about missed out cos he offered them to me and then withdrew the offer and was gonna re-list them but I managed to contact him via another sale he had going on.

Like when I tried finding a new jacket (see: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=46882) I had to do lots of research before deciding to buy, I wasn't having a lot of joy cos most of the larger sizes were too long and also out of the 3 bike shops I emailed with my measurements only 1 replied with a suggestions, 1 has never replied (why have email as an option for contact if you're not gonna reply!!?) and 1 said they'd get back to me and I've heard nothing.

I think we saw you waiting to get on the ferry at Picton back in Feb...you'd been to a rally?

I have those exact pants, on to my second pair. Just beware of the velcro front pockets. It might just be my shape, but the seam where the top of the pocket flap joins the fabric of the front of the pants pulls a bit as it doesn't seem to be stiched well enough. Not a big deal because my jacket covers the pockets anyway.

Look after those pants as they have now been restyled into Mobig Munich 2 and the fit is TOTALLY different. I ordered a pair and they were nowhere near the same fit, I would have needed at least two sizes bigger.

Tried a pair of Neo Mugello and in the right size they would be a great fit for me (even better than the Mobigs) but I needed a new pair ASAP and so I got on to Darbi (supplier for Mobig) and Kerry was kind enought to pull out and go through all their stock and he found a pair of the old style Mobigs for me....legend!

Yep that was moi! Were you part of the crew on dirt bikes? You'd been havin' a blast around the Picton hills?

Thanks for the info. The pants are a little long for me but other than that really good.

The new jacket you've bought looks great (I googled). I'd like a new one myself soon so might check out one like yours.

I traded my KLE for a VS1400 Intruder. Awesome bike for those "blessed" with a short wheel base, and it's compact in size.

If they are leather then its no biggie to get them resized at a fraction of the cost of new ones. Thats what I did with mine, now they fit perfectly :-)
