    Chappy's pmcc round 3 - cheers people

After my summer of Modification, I struggled at Paeroa with the new quarter turn throttle mixed with flat slides while running proddy tyres....... so really wanted to try my new Dunlop Slicks and learn some throttle control!! (spec with weird sizes 125/80 front!! )

The front did seem hard to throw from side to side - i really had to man handle her, but when she lay over it held the line really well and found i could stay on the inside of nearly all those "average" patches.

I entered posties - f3 and f2 for sh*ts and giggles( as Sparky bills had "talked it up" a bit but more to beat the other member of Team Air force racing on his 08 zx6r )

Posties: qualed on pole at a 1:48 which i was happy with - but knew had way more to go, i did that last year as a 400.

Race 1: all i wanted was a good start, i new i would be able to push hard enough to catch someone - hit the chequered flag and looked back…… stoked..... 1st by quite a way!
Race 2: I was confident, just keep it together push a bit harder at the start then bring her home.

It was great to see so many bikes out there – posties really is the old F3 – 400’s and 250s. great to see people are still loving these bikes as much as I do!!

F3 I qualed 3rd stoked, but race 1 I borked the start. It’s really hard to get off the line without a massive wheel stand!! I spent the race trying to gain the places I lost off the start – I got Dylan telford and Paul b off the end of the back straight. Brought home 4th – race 2 was much better good start and held 3rd till the end – chasing an SV ( david cook who I haven’t met ) towing me to do a 1:43.2.

F2 was a laugh!! Qualed 12th and just wanted to beat marty and lee – I got a good start and stuck on marty’s ass till the very end – but got him on one or 2 turns before an extra 150cc flew by. I placed 10th infornt of lee hehehehe.

The bike is just humming..........Only adjustment I had to make was a small rebound adjustment on the rear ( less ) reducing chatter under braking. The bike ran just perfectly – I may look at quickening the turn in but huge thanks to all the helpers, The Air Force, Hi tech commercial industries, Dunlop tyres ( which were freeking awesome ) Motomart and Motorad.

It was a great meeting and hope all enjoyed as much as I did.

Great to hear Neil that you had a Great Round 3 with the PMCC in Taupo on Sunday and by the sounds of it there must have been some good size fields up there?. Sounds like your going to have an Awesome Winter Series with us and I look forward to seeing you back out there in the 1st round of the Actrix VMCC Winter Series in Taupo next month. You must be totally wrapt with the way your bike is running at present, so no doubt you will be out there kicking some serious butt which will be so good to see. Goodluck with your racing this season and will see you soon.

sorry Neil, havent got the gixxer up to spec yet but with some graft it may be finished by the end of next week but it looks as though my first ride on it will be round 1 of the winter series. Will come and say hi then.
