Here we are bagging MNZ again... The quality of OUR adminstration and leadership is in direct proportion to our (yes us the licence holder's),APATHY.
Last year we had a crucial election for Road Race Board members.
North island, only one candidate. Is everbody happy with him? Do you even know who he is?
South Island, two candidates. The winner got in with 53 votes, 3 ahead of the other. Was this an election? Or just festival of apathy....
This year there is election for a new President. How many of us will take the time to consider how good the candidates are? Did we make an effort to put forward and promise to support good people we fel suitable? Will we vote?
Or does this process, which takes as long as checking you tyre pressures,
    find you much too busy....

the biggest problem with MNZ is not people that are in postions of power, its the apathy of most of the licence holders,

Unfortunately Oyster, when people don't understand it, they bag it. Happens in all facets of life.
Would it matter if we all knew of the incumbents putting their names forward? Do we really know any of them?? Do we really know if they will bring their own politics to the table?? Do we really know if they will bring their own agendas to the table??

We may call it apathy, but in reality, unless the incumbent is fully supported by the board, the CEO, and President, then the new person will unfortunately be no better placed than the last. That is what most people think, so that is why most people dont vote. Apathy? I think its once bitten, twice shy....

I have found in business, that the staff adopt the attitudes of the managment. If the managment in this situation improved its outlook, im sure that the licence holders would too.
The first thing that even the dumbest licence holders noticed was the removal of prize money. Try dropping your staffs' wages a couple of dollars an hour & monitor their attitudes & productivity.
Its not so much about the actual money, but the percieved contempt with which the competitors believe they are being treated.
