    But it's logical, I'm not sure why the original TV show didn't have the same story in it

    In the US in the 60's, I'm sure a lot of people at that time didn't like a black woman even being on the bridge.

    I liked the movie, ok I'm actually a closet treckie, thought the plot was a very clever way to explain the diffences between the movie and the original series. About the only thing I didn't like was the views of the working of the Enterprise looked like a petrochemical plant.

    Apart from being royally dicked around by the intelligent cinema staff at Hoyts Sylvia Park and missing the start of the film, I really enjoyed it.

    I'm looking forward to the sequels already. Scotty is a laugh and a half.
