    SV650S K7 fairing removal

Anybody pulled the fairings off an SV650S (K7 in this case)?...any advice gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance.

Way too late for that...after last year's bin...

What I really need to know is where all the fixing points are...my first (cursory) inspection failed to reveal all of them...

You start by *removing the covers for the wing mirrors* then remove wing mirrors. Then remove the wellnuts holding the windscreen and remove it. The black plastic fastners are removed by pressing the middles inwards then pulling them off. Then remove the fairing inner and all most of the rest will be revealed. Unfortunately it can't just be pulled off as you have to diconnect plugs that are well hidden beneath all this stuff.

Sorry this is incorrect thinking of older model. Just remove wing mirrors!

There is also one big black plastic faster right at the front of the inner fairing under the fairing itself.

Sorry if I'm a bit vague as its been a while since I last took mine apart.

    Edited my last post.

Its basically keep looking and removing stuff till you get there. Like everything once you get there you know for next time but even I forget how it all goes and I've done it several times now.
