+1 for what ixion said. When it comes out in the wash they'll both have a good laugh about it.

Like the first time my brother and I had a biker incident - long story but here goes:

Dad's vincent 500 in the garage (what year I can't tell you but way old.) a couple of bottle of petrol sitting underneath her. One of the bottles broke and me and bro were left to clean it up whilst the folks were away. Sweep it up? soak it in a towel?? nah throw a match on it Throw some water on the inferno - cracks another bottle of petrol Bro heaving on 1/2 ton of Vincent before the tank blows as in all the movies. How we got the fire out I do not know - shock must have set in.
Tell mum? No way - couldn't cover up the evidence though. "we were sweeping it up with the kleen eezy broom when it just went off. Static I suppose" Kleen eezie man (= Rawlies in the UK) gets a right earful next time he comes round!
I think we finally confessed at my wedding - 18 years later. And somehow through it all the vinvent survived
