I want to do an oil change on my 1989 CBR250R but I don't know where the oil filter is. Does it look like a car oil filter? And what oil should I use? Cost is no object. And how much should I put in?

Helped my mate do an oil change on his Hornet 250. His filter was a wet type filter located under a cover on the left hand side of the engine, from memory i think it used an allen key hex to get the cover undone. Filter is not so expensive, also see what you can find on google. Good luck![]()
The search button is top right...
When life throws you a curve ... Lean into it ...
Cant remember where it is, but from memory it isnt the screw on type you tend see on cars. Use Motorcycle oil (as opposed to the car stuff), Motul etc... Will be under 4L, fill till its at the correct level on the dipstick/sight glass, then run for a couple of minutes and top up to the correct level again. Don't overtighten the drain bolt when reinstalling.
go to Casbolts and they will have one...
Or have a talk to Just Motorcycles in New Brighton.... I'm sure they can get one for you as well which will proberley be cheaper
if you want a hand to do the first oil change to show you what to do then give me a call and you can do it at my place one weekend or evening.... got heaps of tools
its on the bottom of the sump... looks like a big round thing with a bolt in the middle....
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
