    Fast food etiquette

If you ordered a pizza online at 6.20pm and chose a pick up time of 7.00pm and when you arrived they told you it wasn't ready because they lost your docket would you expect something as a sorry?

I'd tell em I've lost my wallet and go somewhere else. That is unless they make a damn good pizza.

If they lost your docket... they lose your custom.... Double whammy for them I say...

A common practice in busy fast food places. Those IN the shop have priority...

I find that being on first name terms with the man in the pizza shop works wonders for not having your pizza fucked up. Same at the chinky.

It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

    Yes, most definitely.

Some pizza places it is better to chuck the pizza out and eat the box.

Absolutely, and I'd expect it without having to prompt them either.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

It was HELL at Botany Downs. They gave me $4 off the pizza price which wasn't all bad.

Hell are pretty clear on what to expect:

    Late in-store orders
Order is 5-9 minutes late: free item up to $4 (e.g. drink or cold dessert)
Order is 10-14 minutes late: voucher for free double pizza (redeemable on next visit)
Order is 15+ minutes late: order is free plus voucher for a free double pizza (redeemable on next visit)

Go to hellpizza.co.nz then click "Service Guarantee" down the bottom right.

This. And for more than the pizza place, just about everywhere if you take the time to be friendly and get to know the person even a little bit on the other end of the transaction it seems to go better.
