    If the police really didn't want us listening in to them then they would ban scanners from being sold in shops which are capable of receiving certain frequency ranges, as well as banning scanners which are easily modified to receive those frequencies. And for some really confidential information, comms will often call the officer on their mobile or vice versa.

    There is something magical about watching the PC monitor and watching New Zealand unfold on the screen. Google has tons on info on how to do this.
    Just another uses for the scanner when the whole country goes digital ( police)

    buy not doing your due diligence when purchasing the machine - easy enough to do/miss/forget, when someone gets all excited the brain does funny things also happens in the state of fear/anxiety, hindsight is a wonderful learning tool.
