Motivation to stack the firewood away...

I hadta get more firewood. Run out already. (never happened before - must be a cold winter).
I am a known procrastinator and lazy arse. I usually take a week or more to get firewood stacked away in the garage under the house.
Not this time. Wood was delivered when I was out. The dude was really good and got his truck right down to the garage door. He dropped the whole load right outside the roller door. And blocked it completely. With 6m3 of wood. Thereby sealing the bike inside...So if I want to ride again any time soon, I have to put the wood away. Great! (and bugger)!

You bitch about not being "able" to ride your bike every time it's cold or wet anyway.

So it's hardly like you're going to be wanting it out of the shed until summer anyway.

ring the police as an informer, tell them there is a stash of drugs hidden under the pile of fire wood at such & such address,

Had the same thing more than once when we lived in Tokoroa. Also hated stacking firewood prior to winter so swore we wouldn't get a logburner for our new place, despite them working well and looking good. Have had a heat pump for the last 2 years and very happy with it. Cheap to run and no mess!

Too bad when the power goes off though..

I like fires - just not moving all that wood.

I do that every time I get firewood delivered.Problem is I often have a track through the middle big enough to get the bike out and the rest stays there.

Got over half of it away this morning...and managed to resist the temptation to "test out" whether or not I could get the bike out...if I had done that, I would have ridden away and not come back until time to go to work...so I worked hard for an hour and a half. Same effort tomorrow and it is all done. Then next morning it will rain again... But I can get the bike in and out now...
