i feel a rematch coming on. 86 got me by surprise. It was a mint move. Tried the same in splash but couldnt make it stick. Gonna remove another cyclinder out of that thing if this keeps up.

You shouldnt have been up there anyway. I might have given 86 the learn if you came down and did pit bitch duties like you know you should have.

Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Saw a couple of new R1's heading toward Wellington on the way home, any of them turn up at Manfeild? Actually there was quite a lot of bikes heading that way looking like they had Manfeild written all over them...

Jeez Rob, that looked downright scary there a couple of times, not such a flowing road by the looks of it?

great day out, fantastic company with the bitches, plenty of bike porn and watching some wickedly good sessions
I've got a couple more excuses like, the Kwaka's slower than a Daytona, I'm old and therefore slow, I was taking it easy because I've got broken bits, Polly's light and was riding a Gixxer and he must have been running some secret english rocket fuel, the light wasn't right - or something

Think of a couple more too !
His suspension would have been set for track, tyres were prolly specific track tyres, and last but far from least, he's been round that track a few hundred more laps than you !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

If you are talking about me, I have only done 3 track days at Manfeild, and also did one at Taupo a couple of weeks ago.

The engine in the GSXR is stock, and it runs on 91 petrol.

I do have a few trick GSXR engine bits, left over from 20 years of bike drag racing. Parts to build a big motor are sitting on the bench in my garage, just waiting for PN engine rebuilders to finish the block, then it can all go together.

Bill its a GSXR. The R stands for Race Replica. In the year the bike was built it would have been pretty good. (Waits for fish to bite).
But it would go considerably better if the forks where changed and a modern stock fitted. The wheels are 17 inch now.

Really looking forward to you doing a bit of racing. The first few meetings will be a huge learning curve but your the sort of guy that has all the skills and ability to do well.

Thanks for the help Cowboyz, Polly, others with axle stands etc.

Would be nice if you could get one of your gixxers sorted and setup for trackdays! This has been discussed many times in the past I know.

Yesterday was a one off once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Don't plan on doing another trackday for some time now.
