Ours have all but finished.... bugger!
Quite pleased to get a second year out of them, the trees are quite small, have only been in for two years. They are the "Unique" variety, I recommend them

Yeah the commute will not be too bad, and the board is reasonable

Will gather a few up for you, be warned though, the tree is HUGE, and this year seems to be its on year. They are bi-annual flruiters I think, we get one year of tiny fruit and one year of big ones, looks like this could be your year Last year I ended up gathering them up and giving them to the local bird refuge.

Mum called yesterday to say that she boiled up a big batch of feijoa chutney for me.

    <3 you mum!
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Shame you didn't say something sooner - ours are all but finished now. I've had to clear the driveway of feijoas every morning for the last 6 weeks just to go to work. I've eaten so many I reckon I'm starting to look like a feijoa (always been pretty green and round anyway ).
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

Anyone else agree with me that kiwifruit tastes like crap compared to feijoas?
I'd rather eat whole lemons rather than kiwifruit, and I often do.

A few weeks ago I went down to Mum and Dads place in Taradale. Came back with a big shopping bag full of them. They lasted less than a week.

I just wish I had space to plant a tree.

And sorry sinfull, can't make this one. Should be at the next one (hopefully with a new toy ), so i'm sure Alan will help you out. Would be a good change from Bananas for him.

Interesting ! See ya then then ! Could be a new toy event, though after taking the Speed 3 in for an appraisal, it looks like it won't be going as a trade !
This monkey don't accept peanuts !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

How did i miss this thread!?!? I was just about to start a Feijoa appreciation thread lucky i found this. Im addicted to these things. Neighbours used to give us a lot but they moved and i don't know the new ones so i can't really ask! Our trees don't drop that many but you can often find me in the orchard with a spoon eating them off the ground

If anyone in Hamilton has any extra i will gladly dispose of them for ya
