Throttle Rocker - Anyone use them/know where to get them in NZ

Was doing some surfing and came across these nifty devices which would be a help on big tours requiring a lot of open throttle riding.

Does anyone use these, know someone who does use them and finally where I might be able to get one locally?

they are on trade me, under cramp busters, good idea, once you got used to it being there I guess

I have used one for years. It makes all the difference on my right wrist and forearm. Great thing about it is when you don't want to use it, just twist it out of your reach. Have fun!

I just ordered it straight from the US. Cost $US13 ($12 + $1 shipping) and it took two days to turn up. At that time the total transaction was around $NZ19. It will still be cheaper than $30. I takes one email.

It's the best piece of bling I've bought.

I have heard that there is a risk of getting clothing caught and causing a scary moment, any reports from users?

The only scary moments I have are watching the next door neighbour on the crapper while I'm trying to make my breakfast. They should never have cut that tree down.

Used a ScottOiler Crampbuster Original for a few years now.
Shaped plastic and if you don't want it just turn it forward out of your way.

I can't ride the DR without it now.
Stops my shoulder/neck tightening up due to gripping the bars too tight.

No problems with clothing catching either.

I have used one for the last three years and wouldn't do without one now.

I just asked at the local honda shop - no problem - about $15 back then.

Ask at your local bike shop first.

Yep - the standard size is what I use...they need to be expanded ("unwound") to slip onto the grip then they hang on by themselves. I use it because I have a lot of scar tissue in my right hand and gripping a narrow handlebar causes the whole hand to go numb...

I got a throttle rocker from the states. It did not grip properly and would shift position which was annoying. I tossed it and purchased a cramp buster from the Yammy shop in Cambridge for $26. (he sells on trade me) It never slips and is readily repositioned for town, open road throttle opening or just moving it out of operation, the throttle rocker was not readily adjustable.

I had one moment with it when I had to suddenly brake and in the panic the crampbuster was on my wrist and kept the throttle slightly open. It will not happen again as I have practiced the action and lift my wrist on braking.

Ive used the cramp buster type for ages now and as others have said they DO work !
Stopped my numb wrists and perhaps lessoned the grip
As they are moulded with the throttle action in mind you are able to push them back out of the way if necessary - push forward
It basically rolls the twist on and placement is anywhere along the grip - mine is pretty much towards the outerside
dont need alot of pressure to activate etc
Still should be aware of it '' sticking out '' all the same

I might have to try one. On my cruiser with the 1" bars and Oxford heated grips, and short fingers, the end of my thumb goes numb which feels quite weird.
