    URGEBT TYRE HELP NEEDED NOW!!!

    Hey everyone,

The standard size front tyre on my ZXR400 is a 120/60-17. My problem is Pirelli is no longer bringing that size Supercorsa in anymore. I know it has been done on many an Yamaha R6 by upgrading to a 120/70-17. But will i be able to do this on my ZXR???

I know when you get slicks they are 165/60's and 125/70's and many people run slicks on ZXR400's

Does anyone know if Metzler make a 120/60 in Rennsports???

    Cheers.

don't know how much it helps, but their web site reckons they do..
It had 2 options for Rennsport tho, so double check they're the ones you're after..

Just found out from Forbes and Davies that they dont import the 120/60 either....

So it looks like a 120/70 or i have to go to GPR70's...

    bugga..
guess it's all very well a company making something, but it's another story about trying to get it in the country that's the arse-end* of the world..

Just hope they fit under the mudguard then! Was it snug with the 60s on? Is there much of a difference in height and performance (roll etc)?

    * and by arse end, I don't mean smelly-poo arse, I mean 'remote'..

That's OK Chris, your handeling will just slightly be more slugish or not quite as sharp as a 60 profile. However it'll fit on your rims perfectly.

Metzeler didn't use to do them in that size but just give Haledanes a quick call. They are now making tires for smaller bikes as well so they very well might do a 60 profile.
