only reason i want the plates and bolts and things is just for every day peace of mind. im picking, if anyone does come over to see the former occupants, theyll be lazy asses just looking for a cheap thrill, and wouldnt go to the bother of attacking chains to get at the bike. im intending to make it next to impossible for them to get into the garage in the first place. see the diagram, that internal door will either have a key card access, like a hotel, or a combination access. the rest of the internal wall will of course be covered both sides.

thanks everyone... will make a note of what been suggested and then look at the options when it comes to the crunch.

Just don't forget you may need to get in there in a hurry one day, so don't make it too difficult to get access. Bugger if you had a fire or something, or even just lose your keys.
