Trademe - this one is a combo stand - it has fittings for both ends.

The headstock ones? Thats on par for them but if you know where to get em cheaper do tell! Far more useful as you can remove the forks with one of them

The stands in nodrog's post are the best available - used by many teams and shops (http://www.bikelift.net/en/) from memory imported by Eurobike Wholesale so if you have a friendly contact at a bikeshop you may be able to get one a bit cheaper. I believe the price has recently come down on them too, though can't guarantee that.

Some of the cheaper stands aren't that good - particularly the front ones. Also, most front stands are designed to be used in conjunction with a rear stand. Whatever you end up getting remember you'll be regretting saving a few dollars if that cheap stand you buy ends up dumping your pride and joy on the garage floor.....

I wish I did know. I'm looking for one as the Katana doesn't have anywhere to put a standard stand so looking for a headstock type. It's just a bit of a jump from $80-$100 for a standard one up to $225 for the headstock type.
I didn't realise that steel tube had gold in it as an extra half an metre adds another $125 to the cost.

I've just got the FS11 (front headstock) in the combo and it is an extremely well made stand.

Spend the money, you will not regret it.

Mate that $125 will look cheap when your bikes fallen off the el cheapo dodgy stand....
