Well I'm bringing one back from the dead that was stripped to race, trying to get all the road bits back on & the other one I have was left out to die in the rain by some stoopid Hippy (see my thread about stinger restoration, something like 'float like a butterfly. . . ', progress has been slow lately).

I didn't see the CBR125 (available new NZ) as opposed to the CBR150 listed which is only available as a grey import.

I'd love to see a YZFR15 in there if anyone ever brings one into the country. They're injected four valve liquid cooled 150cc...........

I think the list can be put on the Bucket Racing website. Either that or a link to the page on the KB Wiki.

The only issue is while being a stunning looking machine and l/c plus fuel injected, it's only an SOHC undersquare motor.

The R15 is the same (ish) but a 149cc.

    Specs for the R15
    Engine type Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve

    Maximum power 17PS / 8,500rpm
    Maximum torque 15 N.m / 7,500rpm
    Starting system Electric Start
    Lubrication wet sump

    Frame type Deltabox Frame
    Caster / Trail 26° / 100mm
    Tire size (Front / Rear) 80/90-17 / 100/80-17
Brake type (Front / Rear) Hydraulic, single disc (Front / Rear)

Personally, the 125 leaves the 150 for dead in the looks department !!
    and this for interest..

With that stroke it's never going to rev like the FXR but I would suspect there is plenty of room for extra HP all the same. I suspect that the HP figure is measured at the rear wheel...... As opposed to the FXR official figures which are measured at the crank and rounded up.....

The really interesting thing is the size, weight and frame design, it's considerably smaller and 20kg lighter than it's competitors. Delta Box and link rear end should equal better handling than the FXR and CBR. Couple that with the torque possible with a longer stroke and this potentially points toward great performance out of the box on kart tracks. Who knows what would happen at Ruapuna or Taupo? I suspect it would get eaten by TZ350 or Nigel Duff's 2 smokers........

There is a lot of talk from Yamaha about less transmission losses with this bike so that sounds interesting also.....

LoL, out of my price range too but there are people who spend a lot more than that on their buckets............

It's made in India so you could probably land it here fairly cheap (for a new 150). Hell the Indians are making the Nano car for $3000- so how much can a small bike be?

I did a bit of investigation buying a bike or few from south east asia a while ago and when out dollar was peaking it worked out really incredably cheap.
Sadly, I'm trying to limit us to a collective 8 bikes. That's four each. We are one over that!

a good bike for young (small) riders is the nsr 80. They are quite a rare 3/4 size bike that is extreamly quick. i won two seasons on mine in hawks bay.

yup those nsr80 have ALOT and i mean ALOT of mods out there for them

i mean yoshi.com has a couple of pages of some sick thing you can do to them......ive love one

but for now my fxr is my beast

while we're on the hp thing my old gs125 was kicking out 9hp at the rear so a fxr would have to be putting out about 14hp
chuck norris's calender goes from march 31st to april 2nd

    No one fools chuck norris.......
