    New rider in Hamilton (Zerker)

    Hi all.
just got my scooter 2 weeks ago, planning on going for my learner bike license soon. Loving the scooter, still riding everyday, hoping to get in some longer distance rides after the first 500k service (halfway there already :P)

above is the '08 model which looks very similar to the 09 I have.

I bought this one as it's alot bigger than the average scooter, almost 1.5 times the length of an SJ50. a guy at work has an SJ50 and side by side it's like a dinghy next to a yacht .

The S-Five is also able to sit at a comfortable 70km/h so it's alot safer in town traffic. there is still the odd moron that must pass but you'd get those on any kind of scooter.

as for longer trips, well after the small bit of riding I have done my favourite is getting out in the 80 km/h zones and just seeing where the road goes I'd love to get a bike and just cruise the highways, I'm tempted to ride the scooter to the next town over and back but not too keen on having trucks hurtle past at 100-120km/h when I'm pushing 75 (on spedo) at full throttle.
I'll get there but for now I want to be a better rider before I push the scooter like that.
