Assistance choosing jacket + boots

I can highly recommend the Rjays jacket like this one. Hubby's got one and it's awesome. He's had it for three years, I've handwashed it (using nik wax tech wash of course), and the outer fabric is still as waterproof as the day he got it.

They've very recently been restyled to the Evo II (price of $449 is Aussie $)

Boots - I bought a pair of Alpinestars Web Goretex in February which are waterproof. Cost is about $399. Haven't had them long enough to comment on the longetivity of the waterproofness.

Simon, have a look at 1Tonne gear. Boots, leathers, cordura - its all good and the prices are super. There is another recent thread about 1Tonne leathers, with positive feedback. Nathan and Natalia at 1Tonne are honest, trustworthy and stand by their products.
