I think it should just be the letters SMC in a nice arty type font. Logos have to be simple. like the tradional rocker one - but for obvious reasons not a rocker... if you understand what i mean lol

Damn trial program I've gotta find the serial number

I think that would be cool, and if someone talented with some program can add "University of Auckland" around the outside bit?

I like that one, a romanesque font in the middle would look real cool, ovular or circular though?

yeah thats what i mean, something cool like that.

you can then add to it like being on a piston instead of an oval or something

Here is one i stole off the internet, i took out a bit of text, but i think an idea like this is good.

A logo has to;
say the name of who it belongs to
Not put off or alienate any target audiences
be simple and clear (think of reproducing the logo on lots of different gear/letters/online etc)
not be copyrighted

SMC = (Auckland University) Scooter and Motorcycle Club.

That cogs idea is cool, i reckon the colours should be blue though to match uni colours, plus blue matches most things
