    Hampton Downs

Has anyone else booked in and paid for a trip around Hampton Downs?

I've booked in for 8th June.

Don't mind paying the 2-hundy in advance, except I'm wondering if the track will be ready by then.

    Anyone got any comments?

is that a trackday?? or a drive round the track in a sedate fashion while being lead? Where the details on this one?

    It's a trackday (www.hamptondownsridedays.co.nz).

Dont be concerned if the track doesn't end up ready in time. You will not get shafted. Everyone is relying on the info from track management.

I'm not convinced that Hampton Downs even exists! I think it's probably just a really good 'Nigerian Scam'! There goes ya two hundy!

If you sign up and pay for a date and the track is not ready, you will be given the option to go on the following date (assuming the track is ready then too!). If you cannot make it that day, you will be able to transfer your booking to another day.

There aint a fuck show it will be ready in 6 weeks maybe 6 months, its currently a reasonably well excavated mud pit with piles of mud around it.
My guess is come back in September and maybe it might show some ressemblance of a track, until then forget it
Ive run out of fucks to give

Got to wonder alright. I know someone who has purchased an apartment at the track. Apparantly the flat is ready to move into but the owner hasn't got the full papaerwork to be able to give him the keys. Makes you wonder if Quasi isn't right come back September and have a look.

I'm with Quasi on this one. Their website has up to date photos & a video and it looks like 30+ days of fine weather needed to finish the track to me.
There's got to be 2 months work after that finishing & commissioning services (communications etc.)

All they need is a track for the track days to start. The complex certainly wont be finished by the time the track is open.
