k7 gixxer 600 tyres

Hi guys just after a new set of tyres, I do abit of commuting 20km to work but I also want something tht I can throw into the corner and know itl be good, Also ill be doing a few track days so im thinking a dual compound tyre will be best? what are you guys running and what do you think of it?

M3's are doing it for me this winter. Great wear rate, great handling, great grip and a quick warm up for winter.

BT-016 are great multi-compound tyres but are probably better summer tyres as they take a while to warm up.

Am still on stock tires, i was thinking to get the BT-016's next probably in a few months time.

016s-seem good. I assume same profile asd 014s.Have a mate who loves pps on his k7 600.

Race Street Conti;s mate

-- Do not require tyre warmers, is very flexible for
quick warm up, and very durable as a track day/hyper sport road tyre.
Think of these kind of like a K3 Metzler - they grip ok
last really well, and are very forgiving of any
suspension issue or very low track temperature. They are not a race tyre
for an experienced, fast rider, and can struggle with smearing if the
get too hot - like on a 30 degree day etc.

definitely Bridgy 016's - stick AWESOME, warm up fairly quick, last for ages.
Take the time to dial in the pressures, and you'll love 'em

Good commuting tyres...
Pirelli Diablo Strada
Michelin Pilot Road 2

Good fast Road/Trackday tyres...
Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3
Pirelli Diablo Rosso
Michelin Pilot Power 2CT

Theres not really a tyre for commuting AND trackdays so to speak. But I use to use the Diablo Corsa tyres on my Blades to commute on and do trackdays with them.
Hard choice really.
What are you going to be doing more of??
Most tyres these days are good in the dry. Its the wet weather grip that they really show their true value.

I disagree. For trackday and dry commute the BT-016 has stonking grip and resists squaring off very well.

For slightly less total grip on the rear and much better wet/winter performance the Metzeler M3 is great.
