Nah I'm slow as. Should be under 1:50 on a good day on Taupo track 1 tho. Not bad on stock bike on stock tyres if I do say so myself.
I know there's heaps more in me and the bike if I get the track time.
Well not stuffed but the 016's aren't going to perform as well in the wet as the M3's And they won't perform as well as say the Avon Storms or some other sport/tourer.
My bike is my only transport and I commute 20km each way every day rain/hail/shine and have done 4 trackdays this year so I think I fit the profile of tyre user the OP is after.
EDIT: and if anyone is braking harder on the road during their commute than I did on M3's at 200km/h at Friday MotoTT they need to learn how to ride defensively not get different tyres.
