you may not be but personally i find it good for hours of fun. Anyway simple answer to your problem is to ride your dirt bikes in the dirt, as they were designed for and leave the track uncluttered by your bastardisations of motorcycle's for the ones actually built to ride on them.

BTW 1:48 on a motard at Taupo is fairly impressive good on ya.
I will give ya a hug next time I see ya.

1.48 well yeah I guess, thats a good time from last PMCC but Im off the pace from the front pac by about 4 secs so that gives you an idea as to how fast Motards are, the big thing is braking, as per above video, you where braking way before I even thought about it, the bike itself weighs about 105 kgs so thats not much to brake in comparision to a sportsbike hence the entry speed his higher for longer than a sportsbike.

Interestingly Darrly Atkins on the Motard in Wangas, had he run in the robert holden he would have been about 4th !!! thats impressive for a 70 hp bike with competition running 180 hp !!

LOL, my bike is a SMR Factory Super Motard Racer and is designed for track work and a little off road, its probably more technically advanced as a road bike than many sportsbikes

Anyway this thread has gone way off track

    Hmmmm

I think its alright motards running in group1 its just abit of give and take really ...... Where they're faster in sum spots sportbikes are quicker in others, motards do look a shitload of fun i reckon. For me i wouldnt risk all at a trackday but ya know everyones different. so your telling me it has the same design flaw that woman have with their multi task function, instead of being able to do one thing exceptionally (what i'd call the male way) it, like a woman trying to multi task, can do several things in a half arsed incomplete way, pissing of anyone else caught in their vicinity?

    Nice troll.

Either way it's about the rider. Not the bike.

I've never been to a MotoTT days but at the Redline and Kiwitrackdays days I've been to Motards were in both group 2 and 3

never saw a motard only group - seems too few of them turn up to warrant their own group.

Seems stupid that you are forced into group 1 on a motard where the biggest speed difference would be.

The motards in group 2 seemed to be keeping pace and not getting in the way.

On a side note. After starting all my track days in the slowest group and moving up to group 2 through the day I've decided I'm way happier in group 2.

Even though I'm slower that most of the other riders in a straight line I don't get carved up and I don't have to dodge people going into corners really slow.

Agreed guv. The faster 400's are doin mid 1.40's and why the hell should they be bumped into group 3 to sit behind wobby gixxer thou riders at every corner.

As for foreign burd (what a racist term btw)...she'll be in for a shocker when she plays in F1 and finds out other riders bite back. Still, no doubt Cowpoos will be there to give her the learn.

Apart from the dangers of your wobbly trail bike then i'd also be exposed to the risk of finding one of those oversized couch cushions, you place on the back of your budget leather range, had detached and was blocking the track.

Never had a problem with motards.

If I found myself in the situation of approaching the end of the back straight, and there is a motard ahead of me that I could push it to pass before the next set of corners, Id hang back knowing he'd probably be right up my arse all the way through to the pit straight.
I Stay with them until the last turn, then get a good jump down the pit straight and ya gone, no issues.

Well it's good to know that she is doing 1.37's ! I would'nt have minded sitting behind her but my ego's way too big to be able to deal with getting passed by a hot chick in a bikini on a 1000cc.
