you will probally find...your cartridges will be transferable to any modern thou...and shock rebuild for not much cost for any thou aswell...email robert??

and...I will bet you 3 box's of beer that the new gsxr thou [k9] will dispatch any other thou in a straight line in stock form...and spare parts will be cheaper...and more readily avalible...eg: quick throttle for a gsxr 600/750 or thou [not sure bout k9] from k4 till now is a throttle tube of a 03 r6...turns it into 1/5th turn...and you will have heaps of riders developing them...
but besides...up to you at the end of the day.

Been there done that.......not the case at all with the cartridges, and the shock would need fairly major changes equalling money.

Lucky I don't plan to race at the drag strip then aye
One could argue that Suzuki's are at the top because they spend the most in getting there too.

Look at the history of GSXR's in NZ as championship winning machines [and 2nd,3rd,4th,etc] over the years...because its a hard package to beat!
Had we had the same rules as last year I'd tend to agree with ya 'Poos, and Mr Clee is a magician when it comes to building great bikes.

But, with much more standard bikes gridding up next season I reckon Tony (or anyone) will be fine on a CBR1000RR. It's still winning comparison tests in standard form (whatever they're worth, LOL) and that's gonna be close to what we are racing. It will be the only current bike with some set up data thanks to Craig and Hayden, whereas Yamaha and Suzuki will be debuting new models (big piston forks etc).

Edit: I type to fuggin' slow!

true about the drag strip...but HP counts!!
and its probally cheaper to get HP out of a GSXR than a honda dude...HRC stuff ain't the cheapest and most readily avalible.

Not to mention Tony's already got the suspension organised for a CBR, although it's probably bolted to his pushbike at the moment
True about the current honda boys...and I'll rest my argument at this stage by...agreeing to disagree...

and tony...I'll buy a GSXR in the next few years...and open a can of whoop arse on ya!! infact ....I'll open a can of awesome-ness aswell...and give you one awesome whooping!! then I'll remind you about this thread while I'm drinking the beer yu just brough me!!

Ya silly coont..........the Privateers Cup SBK class is for stock engines, no mods allowed, just pc3, slipon and suspension, Red numbers......................not to be confused with SBK open class with which it will run alongside. So HP is what it is for each bike.
