    Blueant Interphone

Anyone know if you can buy Blueant Interphones in NZ? This puppy here is what I'm looking for:

    http://www.blueant.com.au/interphone...helmet-kit.htm

Done a bit of a Google but come up blank. Just wondering if anyone deals with a Blueant stockist here in NZ (cell phone places etc) that would have access to the Interphone. Would rather buy local than off the 'net, however I have seen online some stockists selling twin packs for less than the price of two single units.

Also, don't suppose anyone has actually used this set up?

    Well, if anyones interested . . .

Portables Plus will be able to get them in, apparently they havent arrived in NZ yet, wont do until the 23rd of June (a month away today). They wont be stocking them as an "off the shelf" item, however after the 23rd they will be able to order them in from the NZ distributor and will be selling them for $249 NZD including GST. A little cheaper than ordering them from overseas, and also easier to deal with than an off shore company.

Let us know how they go as a Bluetooth system seems like a good idea.

I think that would be a complete pain in the arse.
I have no interest in talking to ANYONE when I'm on a motorcycle - let alone being bothered by them ringing me.

I see your point, though have met a couple of mates who had an intercom setup between them so they could shoot the shit on the go and warn of obstacles/oil etc as they blasted along

To each his own, but agree with no phone.

I got no mates I'm interested in talking to on a bike either.
    That's what pubs are for.

I was thinking of a wireless pillion intercom system. I certainly don't want to talk on a mobile when riding. However it would be useful for those occasions when sign/thumping on the back language is a bit limited.

    I can't name one.

Complete list of things I need to know from the co-pilot when riding:

    • I want to stop.
    • I don't want to stop.

Well, some of us want to talk to our pillion occasionally. And my pillion wants to talk to me. Here is a partial list of what my pillion wants to tell me:
    • Look a cute bunny rabbit!
    • Look a cute horsie!
    • Look a cute dog!

Oh, and another thing, She works 12 hour days nearly every day. She wouldn't get home before me, even if I din't sift about the basement for a living.

I'm with you on that one, Limbim.
We use the Oxford Bike Mics. Hot wired for permanent use. Just plug in and go. I guess it's horses for courses but we do a lot of touring and weekend rideouts and Lyn being a biker, makes her an excellent pillion. I don't know she's there half the time so it's good for us that we can chat...even if it is to say " ...shit! I think I left the oven on!"
