Mmmmmmm, p-o-r-k pies (not the hats, silly)
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Yup, it is. Mmmm, mmm.

I'm not generally a pie eating type, but those BP Express pies have lured me over to the dark side on several occasions...

There was a little cafe up Plimmer steps that baked 'pork and kumara' pies that were very very yummy, plus one of the girls used to sing opera. Also the 'thai chicken curry' pies from Alleluya cafe in St Kevin's arcade on K' Road - yummo. They used to supply a home made chutney stuff to put on it as well.

I have to admit too many pies not enough running have cost me 30 kg's since i started my current job.

All time fave would be pats pantry chicke kumara and apricot .d...r....o....o....l.

When pissed nothing tastes quite like a BP peppersteak pie. (never Heaved after ward and the hangover seemns to be less despite needing something to lean on at that stage!)

New Kid on the block is a real contender though Mighty Ben (shameless plug, now available at Caltex Grey lynn) 215 grams means really good pastry to filling ratio combined witht the tried and trusted big ben filling.

    also worthy of a mention:
Rabbit and cranbery (horse and trap during the food festival 2003)
Deer redwine and tamarillo sauce, (as above)
Mrs Macs beef bacon and cheese (Avail Caltex Grey Lynn)
Mrs macs Chilli Beef & Cheese (avail Caltex Grey Lynn)
Tamarillo, Kumara and pork. (was from a bakery in inglewood before it burnt down).
Dont forget the venerable eskimo pie.
Even as a confimed carnivore I still like spinach and cheese!

    Arrow In Te Anau

there was a cafe that did a spicey Maroccan(sp) pie. Blardy awesome and way better than a BP turd pie.
