baby bikie finally on two wheels

Baby bikie has been riding with me for years. He took to his quad like a duck to water -hanging his knee out like hes on a road bike BUT -he just could not get his head around riding on two wheels.
I had all but given up on him ever getting the hang of it.
Well bugger me if today he just got it -buzzing along on his bmx like a pro.
Brings a tear to the eye it does

yeah, it's bloody great when all of a sudden the light switches on and bingo!!! Had that with my daughter (although her daddy wasn't nice enough to sponsor a quad bike first )

I saw the crusty demons show last night - pray he doesn't/didn't!!

well the quad was a bit of very good luck --no way I could afford to actually buy one even second hand--

That is SUCH a familiar sight to me.

Glad you got him finally sorted.

Now next time you bring him down to Welly he can join Tim over at the BMX track....

    that oughta be a hoot.

Actually it would probably involve the dads falling off on the woop-de-doos if its anything like normal...

    Good to see.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yey XJ!! One of those special firsts. Aren't they great. It'll be a sad time when the kids are grown up and you longer get to witness them.
    Enjoy and savour.
