    Here I go again on my own...

    Got told today that I have a meeting about a "restructure" tomorrow.......


    ........and its just me, my boss and the HR director.....

    ........and I might want to bring a "support person"

    hope it goes well for you,take the bike to work,then go for a ride to a favourite spot and plan a longer ride!

    That's got to suck.

    If they want to slim the ranks they should get rid of shit like HR director's.

    Take along a Tongan with a cricket bat for a support person.


    And a medic, Inform the fuckers the medic is going to be their support person.

    That sux mate. Dirty old economy I guess. Guess your contract probably has a restraint of trade clause preventing you from starting your own business in direct competition to your boss
    Hope u can get on the new redundancy thingy... has National put that into place yet??

    I've never yet had any money back (directly - a 1 night hospital stay doesn't count) from the govt. Might have to look into it

    I hear ya. There's a lot of it about... I've had a few of those meetings too.

    Best of luck.

    And if you don't take Headbanger's advice, remember to take notes, and stick it to them if they step out of line. And it might be good to find your contract and read it, so you know about notice periods and redundancy provisions...
