    Fake CE protectors?

    Hi all,

I am a complete Newbie to riding (lets just get that out of the way).

I bought a jacket for my wife recently and I am thinking the "CE" protectors are possibly (probably) fake.

Can anyone show me a way to figure out if it is the real deal?

    Cheers

"CE" is a standards rating that shows an item meets the requisite standard for that item as set down by the European Community, nothing more, nothing less. It's similar to the NZS logo that appears on some goods here.

CE in itself does not mean that an item is fit for purpose or that the item labelled CE has been installed or added to another product appropriately or well. Neither does the absence of a CE mark mean that an item is unsuitable.

You should be able to work out whether they offer adequate protection or not. If they don't, replacement ones are not expensive.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

most motorcycle stores that sell gear also sell hard and soft armor that you can put into your gear (if it has removable armor or it can be sewn in).

there are also a few people on here that I have seen that can attach said armor.
a quick forum search should find those people for you if you want to replace the armor. though as above you may not have to.

If it can be copied, the Chinese will copy it.

    'Nuff said on that.

I just bought some Draggin Jeans and Knee pads.
Their recommended method for mounting was a strip of velcro (supplied) and Super Glue...
