Another thing...the (intended) drug search was because cops believed there were cannabis plants there. Right? There has been talk that this guy was dealing P as well. He may very well have a nice little manufacturing lab there as well. With a huge stash of chemicals. Some of which are pretty volatile. Not to mention the place possibly being rigged with homemade explosives. This prick has nothing to lose by firing indiscriminately, but shooting inwards is another thing.
For all the 'hard man' talk, I wouldn't want to be one of those cops or making the call to do this or that.
We might be better taking bets on how long this will take...

About all you could do with this place is drop 'em straight down.
House is situated in a fairly narrow gully, so coming across it would be...difficult. And coming up it, there's too many other houses all lined up in front. Coming down the gully wouldn't be any easier, because if it is the house I suspect, it is hiding behind an outcrop of rock on the inside of a tightish turn.

Maybe, they don't think that the risk to life is worth collecting the body. I'm sure that they would have retrieved it if they could have done so.

Oh come on. Where there's a will there's away, kiwi spirit and all that. Roll a tank in there and unless he's loaded with an RPG or armour piercing rounds i think they'd be able to use it as enough of a shield to retrieve the fallen. I'm glad that they have finally been able to retrieve the body of the fallen officer. It must have been even more heart wrenching for the family knowing that he was still laying there. Being able to finally bring him home was well over due.

Hopefully this doesn't continue for to much longer.

If the news reports are to be believed then Officer Snee's body has now been recovered and will be undergoing the inevitable post-mortem. With any luck the family will now have been able to touch him, and will have him home fairly soon so they can begin to say good bye. Thank God for that!

Yes it needs to be resolved quickly, I dont for one minute think the police are sitting back ignoring the situation, they wil be using all their resources to end this within the governing laws of our country and in the fastest way they can.

It is so easy for us to sit back here and say storm the place, or whatever. That is what happens overseas afterall. No thank you from me, do what has to be done to avoid further loss of life, and what can be done to get this wanker for allegedly (just for Hitcher ) shooting these people, without further loss of life.

Righto......they may not be upto UK cops standards, however, they don't have the resources and in the States / UK and most other Countries cops get shot...nothing to do with being useless when from what I heard the cops were just doing what they thought was a normal approach when the guy starts shooting.
