yeah, hopfully he hides under a cop car that gets a call out to chase a Biker and gets draged for 100km before his body resembles nothing but a blow up doll with a severe case of road rash!!

There is often only one outcome for those that kill a cop...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Well, I suppose you could say he has resisted a fair bit already - which is why this whole ordeal has come about.

Hopefully they'll take the perp down without getting a 1941 scenario so to speak.

    Hang the fucker.
I do wonder what kind of gun he was using though, automatic weapons are rare here.

This saddens me, I could understand if he (the gunman) was not to survive this situation...

Lots of chopper movement from there (to hospital in Hastings and back?). They go straight over my roof.

Course we are...it's about 8k away from us. From upstairs you can see the old hospital buildings and parts of the hill. But that's it.

NO! Lives are worth nothing. Watch the stack of offenders Bill of rights protect them all the way to the wet bus ticket

    This is horrifying.

Call me a hippy but I'm sending some positive vibes to the victims family and also to the survivors.

Oh and for the record: I have never called the police force 'pigs'.
The way I see it is that they are doing a tough job with little or no thanks.
    Tragic.
Thoughts go out to the families!
And respect to these guys putting their lives on the frontline

Earlier reports of being in the vicinity of a gang house pissed me off. If you look at the 'map' on here http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crim...ot-dead-report the gang house is approx where the 'arrow' joins the text box
