    IT/website people! Your opinions please

I have a problem with a couple of websites I advertise on.
Links to sites drop out, pictures dont apear that sort of thing.
This is on the basis that it is ongoing continuous advertising Im paying for
Given that the site providers have made it clear that the issue is their end would you concider it fair to expect a discount for the advertising whilst the issue is occurring?
What is the norm payment wise in that type of situation?

Just wondering what is concidered Fair in that kind of situation.
I would apreciate hearing from people actually in the know --ie in the business or like me perhaps a customer of

In the current economic climate I think you'd be hard pushed to extract money back from them but surely they could give you an extra number of page views or extend your advertising duration as compensation??

The advertising is ongoing and continuous so extending time isn't an option --um more pafge views--how does that work?

Damn, Dave beat me to it!!! Does your contract stipulate 24/7? Also check out your average hit rate stats to see if you have potentially lost out on any business, this could strengthen a case should there be any "grey" areas. Likely the best you could ask for would be X amount of time free hosting, unless you can prove loss of earnings it's going to be a struggle to get anything i'm afraid...
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

You ain't gonna get any cash back however there is no reason why they can give you more as compensation by offering either another slot or a larger representation.

Call their support team and report every tiny little fault. Every day.

    Steve
"I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said."
"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
