Now you just have to get the right angle to get the hutt hills in the background. Awesome effort
There may be a goat/ram on the side of the road, was there when I went past, scared the crap out of me when I saw it, but it didnt chase me luckily

The tag was on Moonshine Hill Road, just a little past the intersection with Moon Ridge Road. There is a sharp 15 km/hr corner. I am not quite sure whether the tag was before or after this corner. I took these pics straight after the corner.
A "nice" little loop road according to Eugene. I am glad I did not go and get this tag first thing this morning. Even at 1 pm the road was still slippery and wet with lots of parts in the shade. As well as that it is has loose gravel, is very narrow, and patch up jobs to hell and back. 1st gear all the way in and back for me, 20 km/hr and still had two scary moments with cars flying around blind corners.
It was certainly an experience. Would be a nice road on an adventure type bike or something.

Top effort mate, was thinking along the same lines with google earth but my pc cant handle it and goes on a go slow haha grrrrr !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I think you got the spot Cloggy. My spot was just before the 15KM Hr corner coming from the Upper Hutt side.If i can get a single frma from my little video will be interesting to compare angles

Sorry I really thought this was a cool road, and after going through the akatarawas I thought it was an awesome finish. Its quite amazing how long the frost and moisture stays around. It was absolutely freezing down the akatarawas when I went down (at about 3-4 in the afternoon), with lots of frost still on the side of the road. Wasn't quite so bad when I went down moonshine road. As its winter there is alot of parts on the road that are still wet and slippery after mid day, so extra care is always needed.

No worries Eugene, I am not complaining, but I was glad to get of that piece of road. Even on a good summer's day I would not ride that road for fun. Just too narrow, bumpy and winding for my liking. Doesn't seem to suit my bike.
I don't like the Akatarawa Hill Road for the same reason, but I don't have a problem driving that in my 4x4 which has a bit of protection up front. I feel too vunerable on the bike on those narrow bendy roads.

Fair enough, does get a bit tedious on the sport bikes going down slow roads.
