There are two very distinctive landmarks,one natural and one man made...that i recognised almost instantly

There are definitely landmarks in there! As BMWST has said, both natural and man made! I can guarantee you WILL have ridden past those places. You just haven't seen them from this perspective!

Zoom in to what is in the distance. Once you work out where it is, it's just a matter of elimination for the location of the camera. (The sun play's a part in the identification - taken at around 5:30pm).



The motorway is close at hand so it is reachable on the way to work by most folks playing the game.

Aer0, Cloggy and BMWST have already identified the location so I don't give you much hope in it still being there! And StoneY is on holiday so I would expect him to be in the chase as well.
