After spending some fruitless time riding round the Hikoikoi Reserve area (or what it called) which is where I sort of guessed it may be cos my spies sure had their lips sealed, and getting more and more wetter,I decided to head for the Coast (bearing no gift ). Except by the time I got to Haywards, I was so damm wet and cold, and with no change of clothes, decided to head for the Hill and the real home. I have not ridden in the middle of a huge THUNDER storm before. I was terrified I was going to be struck by one of those lightning bolts that was crashing around, in front, behind and beside. I only had one little slide...... I could blame the cold tyres, cos I am sure they were

A long soak in a hot bath, two VERY large and STRONG Bourbons later, I can sit and devise afitting punishment for the Chief Spy. Hide his bong perhaps.........

not so much pouring here as "wall of water" stuff. Ruth just back from Palmy in the cage she had to virtually stop serveral times between Otaki and Pram due to EXTREME rain and surface flooding. Hope it stops by morning.

so after getting home from work i saw this tag and knew where it was go got the bike started found the camera tested out the flash at home (outside) so I knew it would work...tottled off to the tag in the rain (never to be again done on my own) bike is still in one piece though.

Found the exact spot for the tag and took the first photo flash didnt go off so couldnt see anything in the pic did some more playing around with the camera and got the flash to work pic still didnt come up tried a couple more times then decided bugger it time to go home and if i wake up earley enuf and it is still there then will go get it.

Thanks Paul, close but not close enough. After leaving the reserve area, I did ride up to the roundabout heading towards Port Road, but decided the angle was starting to look a bit wrong, so headed for home. Ah well - was an interesting experience
